Have you ever eaten zippy beef spread?

If not, you are so lucky that you found this family recipe.

It’s delicious and lasts for several days in the fridge which makes it a great make ahead appetizer.

Rather than giving you some long story, I'll simply say that my husband's family gave me this recipe and I added my own twist to their recipe.

Zippy beef olive spread

Even people who don't like olives love this spread. Try some at your next gathering and let me know what your family thinks of it.

Ingredients

• 8 ounces Cream cheese
• 2 tbs Mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup Manzanilla olives
• 2 tbs Sherry cooking wine
• 1 tbs Dried onions
• 6-9 ounces Buddig Beef
• Schar Entertainment Crackers

Instructions

1. Soften 1 tablespoon of instant onions in 2 tablespoons of dry sherry wine or sherry vinegar.
2. Blend one 8 ounce package of cream cheese with 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
3. Stir in the sherry and onion mixture.
4. Place 6-9 ounces of dried beef in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
5. Stir in 3-4 ounces of dried beef to taste into the cream cheese mixture.
6. Add 1/4 cup of finely diced olives to the mixture.
7. Shape the mixture into a ball and roll in the remaining dried beef.
8. Chill for a minimum of 2 hours and serve with gluten free crackers and/or celery .

Notes

Unless you are planning to use a mixer, it helps to allow the cream cheese to warm to room temperature.

The olives get mushy when you chop them in the food processor so it's best to chop them by hand.

 While most people enjoy this Zippy beef spread on crackers, it’s delicious on celery and cucumbers too .
